Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Use and should be read alongside them. It applies to everyone who uses Recip.club — club staff, members, and anyone else we give access to.

It covers your use of the Services, the content available on them, anything you contribute to them, and your use of our AI features.

We are Reciprocity LLC, doing business as Recip.club, a Florida limited liability company at 10000 Arcos Ave, Estero, FL 33928, United States. We operate https://www.recip.club, the platform at https://app.recip.club, and the Recip.club mobile app.

How we expect the network to work

Recip.club exists to make visiting another club feel as easy and welcoming as visiting your own. Whether you're club staff managing requests or a member submitting one, we ask that you keep things honest and respectful: represent yourself and your home club accurately, treat staff and members at every club the way you'd want to be treated at your own, and only use the notes, attachments, and messages you share here for legitimate reciprocal purposes — not anything abusive, misleading, or inappropriate. If you ever run into behavior that falls short of this, please let us know so we can help keep Recip.club a community every club is glad to be part of.

Everything below is the specific version of that.

What you must not do

Misrepresent yourself or your club.

Impersonate another person, or use another user's account or username.
Submit a request on behalf of someone who has not asked you to.
Claim a membership standing, class, or affiliation you do not hold.
Enter false or misleading information about a member, a guest, a club, or a reservation.

Misuse other people's information.

Use member, guest, or staff information obtained through the Services for anything other than fulfilling a reciprocal arrangement.
Contact a member or guest for marketing or solicitation because you found their details here.
Share credentials, or let anyone use your account.
Export or retain member data beyond what your club needs to host or arrange a visit.

Extract data in bulk.

Systematically retrieve content to build a collection, compilation, database, or directory, without our written permission.
Use scrapers, spiders, robots, or other automated tools against the Services, except ordinary search engine crawling of our public website.
Harvest usernames or email addresses, by any means, for unsolicited messaging.
Create accounts by automated means or under false pretenses.

Interfere with the Services.

Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, or try to bypass access restrictions.
Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without our prior written permission. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, tell us at security@recip.club and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before disclosing it.
Upload or transmit malware, or anything designed to disrupt the Services.
Place an undue load on the Services or the networks they run on.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services, except where applicable law permits it regardless of this restriction.
Copy or adapt the Services' software.
Remove any copyright or proprietary notice.

Harm other people.

Harass, abuse, threaten, intimidate, or defame anyone, including our staff and staff at other clubs.
Use anything you learn through the Services to harass or harm a member, guest, or employee of any club.
Submit false reports of abuse or misconduct.

Compete using our Services.

Use the Services or their content to build or operate a competing product.
Use the Services for a revenue-generating venture other than your club's own participation in the network.
Sell or transfer your account.

Contributions

"Contributions" means anything you put into the Services — requests, notes, messages, documents, images, club and member records, and any other material.

You warrant that:

You created it, or you have the rights, consents, and permissions needed to provide it and to let us and other users of the Services use it as this policy and the Terms contemplate.
It is accurate, and where it represents an opinion, it is honestly held.
It does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
Where it includes personal information about a member or guest, you have the authority to share it for the purpose of arranging or hosting a visit.

You must not contribute anything that:

Breaks the law, a court order, or a contractual obligation, or promotes fraud or illegal activity.
Is defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, bullying, threatening, or abusive.
Is false, inaccurate, or misleading.
Solicits personal information from, or exploits, anyone under 18.
Promotes violence or terrorism.
Infringes a third party's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
Misrepresents your identity, your club, or your relationship with us.
Is unsolicited advertising, promotional material, spam, or a chain letter.

We may — but are not obliged to — review or moderate Contributions. We exclude liability for loss resulting from another user's breach of this policy.

AI features

Recip.club includes features built on artificial intelligence, provided by Anthropic:

Copilot, which helps club staff work through their queues — summarizing a request, drafting a reply, or answering a question about club policy.
Club research and enrichment, which drafts structured club directory records from publicly available information for our staff to review.

What we commit to. A person always makes the decision. AI output is a draft or a suggestion; approving, declining, or amending a request is a human action taken by club staff. We do not use AI to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not use it for profiling. Under our agreement with Anthropic, your information is not used to train its models. What we send and why is set out in the Privacy Notice.

What you must not do with them.

Enter information into an AI feature that you do not have the right to share — including personal information about people who are not party to the request you are working on.
Enter sensitive personal information, such as health or financial account details, into any free-text field.
Rely on AI output as fact without checking it. Enrichment drafts and Copilot summaries can be wrong; confirm anything that affects a decision.
Present AI-generated text to a member or another club as though a person wrote it, where that would mislead them about something that matters.
Attempt to extract the underlying prompts or model configuration, or to make the AI features produce output that breaches this policy.
Use the AI features in any way that breaches Anthropic's usage policies.

Tell us when it gets something wrong. If an AI feature produces output that is inaccurate, unfair, or inappropriate, report it at support@recip.club with the context and, if you can, a screenshot. We track these and use them to improve the features.

Reporting a breach

If you believe any content or behavior on the Services breaches this policy, email support@recip.club and tell us what and why. For copyright, follow the process in section 9 of the Terms of Use. For security vulnerabilities, email security@recip.club.

We decide, reasonably, whether something breaches this policy.

What happens if you breach it

Consequences depend on how serious the breach is and on your history with the Services. We may:

Warn you, and remove the offending content.
Suspend your access while we investigate.
Terminate your access and disable your account.
Notify your club, and where a club's staff are involved, notify the club's management.
Report the matter to law enforcement or a regulator where we believe there is a genuine risk to a person or to public safety.
Take legal action.

We exclude our liability for action taken in response to a breach of this policy.

Disclaimer

We are under no obligation to monitor how the Services are used, and we disclaim responsibility for misuse by others. We have no responsibility for content created, stored, or transmitted by users, and no obligation to exercise editorial control over it. Where we become aware that content breaches this policy, we may remove it, block the account responsible, and report the breach.

Changes

We will update this policy as the Services change and as the law does. The updated version carries a new "last updated" date.
